Is it okay as a new DS'r to switch to soft or chewable vits instead of the dry ones, especially the iron, calcium and mulit?  I am struggling with these ones, they are making me sick each day.  So, is it okay if they are the same strength to switch em?

I was put on chawables at first, just make sure they are not full of carbs, the bariactric ones have some carbs but not much.

hello i'm 3 weeks out . my biggest issue now is the vitamins. i take. prilosec, 3 bariatric adv chew multi vites also 2 pills a day for gallstones (still have my gallbladder) and chewable iron 60mg plus  the calcium chews. when i take them(not all the same time ) my stomach is so so sour it ruins the rest of the day. i'm wondering if its the sugars in the pills. or calcium chews? The Calcium chews causes the most discomfort its the one i notice the most that bothers me. any advice. i already put in a call to surgeon waiting for a reply.

Also, iron is really hard on a stomach. You need a heme iron (like Proferrin) that's easier on the stomach.

Chewables can be fine.  Vitalady sells a mostly chewable pack for DSers here https://vitalady.com/vitanews/pre-packaged-regimens/  I'm quite a fan of a lot of the Superior Source vitamins and they're very well absorbed.  Below is the blurb from Superior Source:

"Typical tablets and capsules need to be swallowed and are inefficiently absorbed in the digestive system. MicroLingual® tablets dissolve immediately under the tongue heading straight into the body. The proprietary hydrodrying process results in fewer inactive binders and fillers and a higher ratio of nutritional  ingredients - hence the small size"

Just don't take Flintstones long term and expect to have good labs.

Watch out for sweeteners on the chewables as I have read about them causing some people stomach upsets.

Chewables are fine. There are some things to watch out for but the others listed those pretty well.

Don't be confused by the talk about "dry" vitamins. This really only has to do with A,D,E, and K. Most of
the regular forms of these vitamins are sold in softgel caps that we don't absorb very well. SO it is important
to look for "dry" forms of these like the ones from Biotech. Iron, calcium, and multi can be from just about anyone
except avoid gummies and make sure the calcium is calcium citrate.

LOL. I love my chewable vit C. It's like getting a piece of candy with my iron.

Great thank you! This makes my day!  I ordered the DS pack from vita lady and they are pills, so this will help a lot!

I'm in total love with Bariatric Advantage chocolate chewable calcium! mMMmMMmMmm tastes exactly like hot chocolate powder! I just ordered more this morning because I'm almost out. There's no way I can ever be without these again!
