What is it suppose to feel like?

I haven't had anything by mouth since surgery. I went to have an X-ray / swallow study and they gave me the yummy (gag) contrast to drink.

now I am back in my room and my lower stomach (intestines) feel achy and crampy. Is this normal the first time something tries to go through them?  I'm just worried about twisting, leaks, etc and want to know if this is normal.

i already had a sleeve so I just had the DS Part yesterday.

thanks for the wisdom!

I'm a 2 parter and I can't remember feeling cramps after drinking in my early days, but we're all different.  Mention it to a doc or nurse as you're still in hospital.

when I would have cramps it usually produced a bm very soon after. Is that what you found?

I've had about 10-12 oz today. So far so good but my intestines are still very angry. It's like when the liquid hits them they ache/cramp.

I'm assuming they are just 'waking up'. It's difficult bc just like with everything else-no one really knows what you are suppose to be feeling after this surgery bc most people don't even know what it is! " so you had gastric bypass?" No!!!!!!
