I still just can't believe the email from my doctor's office. I got approved for my DS! After many grueling and ridiculous insurance setbacks, (chronicled here: http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/DS/5262153/Insurance-Frustration-Over-Denied-Claim/) I got the approval today!

I ended up resubmitting a new claim completely. I called to verify the fax number. I called to verify the fax was received. I called to verify the pages received and processed. And then I just called everyday for a status so I could be like a little gnat annoying the ever loving heck out of them. From when my "new" claim was assigned to a case worker to the approval: 3 business days.

What a mess this has been, but it's onward and upward now. After a 2 month setback, I'm ready to be switched! I should get my surgical date this week and then the countdown begins.

I'm just so happy and cannot believe how silly this ordeal has been. I just cannot wait... I still can't believe this happened. I abandoned all hope a few weeks ago. Wow!
