Anyone with sensitive stomach prior to their DS?

My stomach (bowels really) are somewhat sensitive to carbs already prior to surgery.  Maybe do to a long history of yo yo low carb dieting?  Eating white flour/sugar makes me feel bloated gassy etc.  I'm wondering if anyone had this issue prior to their DS and what happened after you had your switch?  Did your sensitivity get even worse or stay about the same? I am scheduled for revision surgery (vsg to DS with a re-sleeve) on Sept 6th.

Thanks for everyone's responses to my many questions lately. I truly appreciate it!

Gluten and sugar sensitivity prior and still have it now. Back in the 1950s and early 1960s my parents were told I might have Celiac but I was never tested and I pretty much outgrew the terrible bowel issues in my early 20s. I think I'm actually more sensitive to sugars but I can't pinpoint what type really sets me off.

Hi Gina,

Curious what are some of your side effects to sugar and gluten?

Very similar, minus the craps or my side effects. I'm reading about the nutrition my blood type needs. Is your blood type "O"?

I'm A+. I've heard about the blood type diets but I've never read up on them.

May I ask why you chose him? I am pretty active in the bariatric community in Houston and have not heard of him. I just googled him and see that he is on Erik Wilson's team. Why did you not chose him?? Just curious.
