Any DSers weight gain on prednisone?

I'm on high dose long term (+/- 6 mo) prednisone. No choice as I need it. Recently started gaining weight, which is to be expected on pred. Anyone had this experience with pred? If so, what was the gain? Did weight come back off? How long? (This is not an appetite or overeating problem). 

Anyone will gain weight on prednisone.  You will have to work on it when are done!

I have been taking 20mg daily for two months. I have not gained any weight but I keep about ten pounds of water weight on me. The last time I got off I dropped the water weight in about two days. I however am not losing like I normally would with the DS because of the Prednisone. I just pretty much stay around the same weight. Prednisone does not make you gain weight it simply makes you ravenous and so you eat and eat. That is what makes you gain weight. Simply control your diet and you will not gain...other than water weight. =)
