Well tomorrow I have to go back into the surgeons office. I have been taking flagyl now for 11 days amd no relief. Its been so bad I cant get all my protein in, it takes all my effort to get enough water. I will say I am still getting between 70-75 grams most days, which at 6 weeks out isnt horrible I guess. Flash back two weeks ago and I hit my goal of 90 daily. Not only has the flagyl not "cured" or "fixed" my bowel isses, it also makes me nauseous and just feel like crap in general. I so tired all the time anymore. I am so sick of being sick. Here's to hoping tomorrows visit is a productive one.

I must have missed your first post ... What issues caused you to take Flagyl? I recently had the same problems and I specifically asked for a different antibiotic! It sucks!

If you're suffering from C-diff, some people it takes a few different tries to get that perfect combination to fix it.

Yup thats exactly it. Apparently the combination of me having c-diff in the past, being on a PPI, and having been on amoxicillan are causing this flare up. I am on new antibiotics now. The dr says I should see improvement soon, however I may need up to a month od antibiotics! Sheesh!!! Oh well, anything to feel better. Thanks everyone for your comments, helps when going theough this.

I take it you have C diff. That sucks!

C diff has become extremely difficult to treat. It often takes multiple courses of flagyl or vanco to clear it up. Sometimes neither works and other treatments are needed, though it doesn't sound like you're at that point yet. So just know that this is typical and you are not alone by any means.

I hope your visit tomorrow will go well. Tell the surgeon how you are doing and don't minimize your symptoms. Get the care you need.

Thanks Larra. Went today got put on vanco. Got blood drawn in case my electrolytes are low, I guess they can give me a pill for them since its not like I can drink much gatorade! I also got switched off my prilosec because it could also be contributing, so no more PPI's. Nice to know im not alone, but sucks others have to deal with this too

If you are experiencing several BMs with loose stools, chia seeds may help.
