Dream Dinners

Apparently I live in a cave as I was not familiar with this concept.  It is a business in which you can make a months worth of meals for your family or you can pay them a small fee and they will put the meals together for you.  My daughter friend mom works for the company and I gave it a try in July as they were running an introductory offer of six meals each consisting of 3 servings for 79 dollars I think don't quote me......  Any how this week I picked up my meals for August and put in an order for September.  Most meals cook in under 30 minutes and they are fabulous!  I have only had one meal  did not care for and I think communication was the problem as I made a special note stating we do not like spicy food and I think it was interpreted as zero seasoning.  I did not enter that message for August meals and so far all of them having seasoning and are delicious.  My daughter is in middle school and I work long hours this has been a life savor and I find myself saying why did I not do this sooner.  Most things are DS friendly.  I make a 3 serving meal and my daughter and I eat it and the next day I have the left overs for lunch.  I hope I am not steering any one down the wrong road but since I can simply avoid dishes with pasta I now the menu could be as DS friendly as you make a choice for it to be.  If this helps another hectic family then I am pleased.  Any question I can answer but please remember I am new to the concept.  I am so tired so I am calling it a night sweet dreams to all.  Donna

I think it all depends on the area. I remember seeing a company like this in the Cleveland area a couple years
ago but it didn't last.

Apparently there was another company out in AZ as well that did not make it as well.  This company has been around for a while but it does not cater to people who are gluten intolerant as my friend is unable to do it.  The only way to customize the meals is by being the one who makes it.  Eventually I would like to try to put the dinners together for one month with my daughter as she loves to cook and I thought she would have fun with it however apparently what I think is fun for a 13 year old is not what she thinks is fun so I am not going to pu****  I am thankful she is willing to give it a try as I feel like I am giving her a nutritious meal and it is not taking a huge amount of time.  I am easy give me protein and I am happy but she likes a home cook meal and I am guilty of getting in a rut and making the same thing over and over because she said she enjoyed it one:)  my bad.  Supposedly one of the owners who walked me out to the car with my order said they purchase their items from Cisco I think was the name of it which caters to restaurants.  According to her this means they get the better quality meats who knows this is simply what the owner said.  The mom I know who works there use to be a customer for 3 years before she started working at this location 2 years ago so I hope it means they will be around for awhile.  I tried to look this particular location on face book and I ended up with some other location in AZ.  The one I visit is at 7th st and union hills............  I hope they stay in business as I have been so pleased......  Not sure if I could stock pile meals that I LOVE OR IF I WOULD BE PUSHING IT AS THEY ARE JUST FROZEN IN A ZIP LOCK BAG NOT IN ANY TYPE OF FREEZING THAT WOULD PREVENT FREEZER BURN.

They aren't around here but I used them while living up in the MI/OH area. They were a life saver when I had my first back surgery in 2006.
