Do you all weigh yourself weekly? Daily? I just do weekly, was wondering what you DSers are averaging weekly. Mine is like 2-3 lbs weekly, I'm about 4 months out.... Is this slow? I feel like it's slower. I'm happy I'm loosing, but..... Was just curious how others are doing

Thats about right . 3 lbs x 4 weeks =12 lbs a month x 12 months = 144 lbs ? Not to shabby . Now, if you arte a much larger person you will lose even more per month . I lost around 16 lbs a month . after 1 year I lost 170 lbs and I am 5'10" w/a starting wieght of 370 and now....190 lbs and I do not count my carbs. I hope that doesnt catch with me tho

Everyone loses different so just be calm, let the DS do its job and enjoy the ride. Try not to obsess over the scale.

When I was first out, I weighed every two weeks, or spot checked  if I felt my clothing becoming a little looser before then.

I lost 50 pounds the first month, if memory serves me correctly, but it may have been more.

The educators at my program said there is an unscientific trend that the more weight you start with, the faster you lose.  That was true for me, but is not true for everyone.

Learn to use body cues like loose clothing, diminished breathing difficulty, better movement, to estimate weight loss between your scheduled weigh-ins, and this means your own schedule, not just waiting until you see your surgeon for follow-up.

I lost slower than normal I thought. first month i lost about 30 pounds and it slowed down from there. But I did lose the weight so don't worry about it just keep working. I weigh around 166 now and have a normal bmi and started this whole journey with a bmi of 63 so enjoy the ride it will be worth it.

Everyone is different. I was asking the same questions and honestly like someone else said let your DS do it's job. You will be successful. I am just over a year out and still stress about how much I lose and if it is a normal amount. I didn't lose anything last month. I got my carbs back under control and have been eating more protein and I've lost 4 pounds this week so far. Just follow the rules and the weight will come off.
