Some of you may have read my posts about not loosing weight and getting no help from the nutritionist.  Well the only thing I can think to do is eat something different.  Unfortunately the nutritionist plan has me on puree for another week. I emailed my dr and explained and he said I am fine to start solid food...

Yah yah yah happy dance. I kept treading all these other people starting food at 3 weeks and 4 weeks so I had hopes he would say yes..

OMG I havn't even had anything to eat and I already feel like a real person.

Has anyone had any experience with kielbasa at a month post op. It is one thing I would reaaalllllyyyyy like that have..

Nope haven't tried it, but try a small piece! For me at this stage (surgery was 7/8) its all about finding foods that wont upset my stomach. You may notice that since it has a lot of fat you will be in the bathroom more. Good luck though!

My start weight current weight and surgery date are the same.

I lost all my weight in the first 17 days and nothing since. I need some help finding out what is wrong. Here is what I eat

Breakfast protein shakes 4oz milk 1 scoop powder 29 grams protein

Lunch 2 oz chicken 1 tablespoon light mayo

Snack another shake

Supper 2 oz ground beef 1 tablespoon gravy

Snack sometimes a protein ice cream bar or sf popsicle.

Day usual has 75+ grams protein and and round 550 calories.

I usually walk for exercise between 2oz and 5 miles depending on intensity and has ow I feel

What are you eating?

The last 12 days ive had really bad c-diff so I havent been eating very well. I tend to eat about 90 grams of protein and around 900 calories.

Morning - Premier Protein shake 30g protein

Morning snack - Sharp cheddar cheese stick 6g protein

Lunch - Roast beef from the deli, typically 3-4oz between 18-24g protein, sometimes I eat it in two sitting

Afternoon snack - mini babybel light cheese, 6g protein

Dinner - depends on the night, 3oz hamburger, or chicken - cut really small and mixed with some sort of dip, at least 20g protein

Evening snack - usually a glass of nonfat milk, 8-10g protein

Are you using myfitnesspal? I find it helps making sure I get enough protein. My nutritionist said at a month out im eating and doing really well.

Sorry I've heard thus c diff thing mentioned b4 what is it? I guess I could be not getting enough calories.  I have never hit over 600 and never over 80 grams protein.  My nutritionist is of no help. Won't return phone calls or emails. Trying to get an actual appt but that would require her to answer phone call or email. Yes I use my fitness pal.

What about exercise?

Going to go look up c diff now :)

Thanks for the repky

C-diff is a bacterial infection :( I got it as a result of taking amoxicillan for an incision site infection.

Anyways, I walk but not that much, maybe 2500-3000 steps a day. Im working on getting better and building back up my stamina. Im amazed how quickly im out of breath now, even more so than before surgery. I have read some people have luck with a high carb day (I think its carbs but I cant remember), and it kinda shicks the system so then they start loosing again. Try looking up the posts on plateaus, I think thats where I saw it.

I think maybe it could be from too few calories. You can go into starvation mode and then your body holds onto everything. Have you tracked your measurements to see if you are going down?

There's nothing wrong, except that you're spending far too much time standing on the scale. (*grin*)

Google "3 week stall" and throw your scale away.
