It's been 1 year
Well, I just celebrated my first year post op. A year and a few months ago I weighed in around 360lbs. Today I'm sitting around 182.
overall I feel good, but I've been struggling to get my Vitamin D up. My vitamin A is slowly coming back up.
i stopped taking iron but my labs reflect that. My hemoglobin is down to 10. I need to work on that.
Other feedback from labs:
1. Hemoglobin 12.3 in dec - July it's 10.2 --- Probably due to low protein
2. Vitamin A is up to 36 (need to split) --- I take both my vitamin A in the morning - need to split
3. Protein is low - DEC - 6.9 July - 6.0 ---
4. Cholesterol levels dropped to 79 --- need to get cholesterol in me - not good!!
5. Vitamin D is down to 22
6. Low Zinc - Add 25MG of Zinc
7. Iron is 52 - 45 - 170 is the normal --- It was 51 in March

Happy surgiversary! Now work on those vitamins and protein. You really don't want to crash your labs.

Congratulations on your first year and your great weight loss!!!!!... Good that you are tracking stuff and know what to work on.
The protein issue might be contributing to hemoglobin / hematocrit issues. I listened to a webinar from
Dr. Kesheshian and he mentioned that low protein levels can affect those levels too.
So I saw my surgeon on Friday and he is putting me on creon. I'm not sure how I feel about it. He said I've lost 99% of my excess body weight and there is some concern that I need to stabilize.
I suppose ive been expecting this because I lost so much so fast but I'm definitely bummed
