I've considered surgery for a while but made no steps to do any real research. A co-worker of mine mentioned DS to me. I'd love to talk with some of you in all stages of the surgery.

Thank you.

A great place to research is www.dsfacts.com.  Ask any questions you have and someone will answer. A lot of folks read but don't post, so your questions may help them too.

Hi and welcome!

The DS has the best statistics of any bariatric surgery for percentage excess weight loss, for maintaining that weight loss, and for resolution of almost all comorbidities. It is especially beneficial for SMO people, but works well for "lightweights" as well. There is so much to learn about it, so I'm glad you are beginning your research.

I will also send you a pm so be on the lookout for it.

As you do your research feel free to ask questions. As part of my research I also did some searching
in the archives here as I started to wonder about different things related to the DS.
