Does anyone here or does anyone know of anyone who has had a DS with Dr. Gilberto Ungson within the last few years?  I have found reviews from 2010 and back, and one (1) not so good (nothing specific though) but nothing recently.  I am looking for experiences with Dr. Ungson more recently.  I understand he trained Dr. Aceves (rest his soul), but just want to do my homework.

From all I've read recently Dr Ungsun is still the best in Mex for a virgin DS. I understand he isn't doing RNY to DS revisions any longer though.

I don't recall him ever doing RNY to DS revisions, though he does do lap band to DS revisions. There has never been anyone in Mexico that we could recommend for RNY to DS revisions. However, for a virgin DS, he has extensive experience and a solid reputation.

I am looking into having Dr. Ungson do my sleeve to DS revision.  My sleeve lost all restriction sadly, so the burning question I have?  Can Dr. Ungson do a RE-Sleeve along with my DS?

I don't know if he does re-sleeves, though it's a great question. I would think if you contact his office they could answer you. It may also depend on what your sleeve looks like - have you had it assessed with either upper GI x-rays or endoscopy to determine the size and shape? That may make a difference. I hope Dr. Ungson is able to help you.

Thank you all for the info.  I am scheduled for July 28th.  I will have to ask him about the RNY to DS.  If all goes well that was what my brother was thinking of.
