too low of cholesterol how to correct?
too low of cholesterol how to correct? In general most information out there is how to decrease your cholesterol however my problem is the opposite. Very little information available for too low of cholesterol. My PCP said too low can not be a good thing. I need to fu with my gastric doc however do you know how to increase my cholesterol?
Most times it corrects itself with time but following up is good advice too.

My Cholesterol has been low since surgery as well. My total cholesterol is 103. My surgeon's PA said it is most likely nothing to worry about, but they would watch it. It was low at my 3 month and 6 month. I will be doing my year labs in mid July to see if it has changed at all.

My cholesterol is 98 and my PCP is also concerned. I had low normal cholesterol prior to my DS. I,too, have found very little information on how to raise my levels. My PCP recommended taking Creon prescription, eating mostly protein/fat in my diet and also supplementing with prescription protein

I was having some serious memory problems. I went for a brain scan but it came out normal. The low cholesterol is a contributor to this. Our brains need cholesterol to function well. I do take Creon when I eat a great protein/fat meal. I haven't done the shakes yet. I did start taking 2 protein shakes a day instead of one and also upped my protein intake. I was eating too many carbs. Creon might contribute to some weight gain but I would rather have a little more weight and less brain fog. Let me know if you find anything that might also help.
Cheers,
Cathy
