I don't want anyone who doesn't know DS as my surgeon. I'm hoping dr k will see me right away. Otherwise, I'll fly to Seattle and get help there. I do not want the answer to be that I have to lose the switch. I need a good troubleshooter and from what I've read so far, dr k is good at that.

I had the DS in November of 2012.  In September of 2013 I suffered an intussusception that appeared to be unrelated to my DS.  My bariatric surgeon removed 14 inches of "dead" material but it in no way affected my DS.  I was in recovery for 8 weeks but am back on track.  Best of Luck.  I am in PA and my surgeon is Fernando Bonanni.
