Hey everyone I had the 1st part of the ds done on Dec 31st and I am down to 288..I will find out on June 2nd (hopefully) when dr kim will do the 2nd surgery...for those who had the 2 part surgery how long were you out of work for recovery. ..I can't take off just few days due to my boss being a meanie!

I am worth it!

I would expect the need for more than a few days.  Boss needs to deal with it.

Hi Molly,

I had part two in March though I did have my sleeve trimmed a bit. I had a complication free surgery and have a very autonomous desk job. I went back to work at 2weeks.  While I did OK I was extremely fatigued (fatigue was not a problem post-op sleeve). I had to close my door and take a lunch nap. I was not productive at all. Had this been any other job I would have been fired...lol.  Personally I think you need to plan for more time...expecially if work is not a friendly supportive environment.

I'm a 2 parter and I had 6 weeks off - 4 weeks sick then 2 weeks holiday.  I had the holiday to use and wanted to be sure I was OK by when I returned.

You need to have a good amount of time off work so you can get used to your new poop schedule.  I'm nearly 2 years out now and only go once or twice a day (normally only once), but early on it can be a different story.
