Hi all. Looking to hear from others *****vised from bupass. I looked in the revision board but most Posta say to look here.

I did awsome on my bypass loosing 260lbs. Had some medical issues and now have arthritis and can't take n said and have gained back 140. Going in to have ds soon.

On my bypass it took me a long time to switch to food but it didn't really bother me. I was quite content with mashed potato with protein powder.

What differences can I expect this time. Is the malobsorption of calories lifelong? I picked the bypass over the band last time cause I thought there was calorie malobsorption which I felt I needed but it did not turn out that way. I soo need to take nsaids for my arthritis.  Anyone here have arthritis and g ins a reliable pain medication.

Looking to lose 100 to 120 lbs. How long do you think that will take and what is the maintenence program for this.  I heard stories of 3000÷ calories .. that sounds like bulony. Also how bad is the gas problem and what's the best way to avoid it

Thanks for writing

I am looking to have a revision from the gastric bypass to DS.  I am not sure if my insurance Aetna will cover it. I would like to now what doctor are you using for the revision and what is the out of pocket cost?

Did you originally have the RnY and then revised to the D Switsh?  How are you doing?  I am looking for a dr that does this surgery...seems to be none in Ohio

As i stated i have nor had surgery yet. Yes I had an rny and looking to revise it to a ds. There are only a handful of drs who do the surgery. There is a list somewhere on this site. I know 4 of them .. 2 in California 2 in ny. Not sure where the others are.
