I'd like to know where you are weightloss wise. Thanks.

VSG 200-, good weight loss. Then regain. Had DS and did not lose a pound. Had it last December.

What did your doctor say? How long is your common channel?

I had a VSG on 4/12/10 after very gradually losing about 100 pounds on my own. I lost 79 lbs with the sleeve but re-gained 68 of those pounds after a horrific car accident/brain injury.

I had a DS on January 23rd this year and I'm down 41 lbs in 3 months, with 40-50 pounds left to go.

I was questioning if I was doing something wrong as the weight loss is so slow in comparison to many here but now trust as long as I am successfully keep up my protein, fluids and supplements intake religiously and exercise most days, it'll come.

After having insulin resistance and diabetes most of my life (ie over 300 units of insulin at 1 point), the "spare tire" around my middle is the last to leave.  I believe if I stay committed to my program, the rest will come off, all I have to do is be patient (when, of course, I want to be at a normal weight for the first time in my entire life NOW!).

Feel free to private message me if you have additional questions.

Hi there. Thanks for responding. Do you know what common channel length you have? Did you get re sleeved?

My common channel length is 75 cm.

My sleeve was modified slightly as it had become stretched a bit at the top (I don't really any more restriction than before the DS and have to be quite diligent about not eating more than 1/2 to 2/3 of a cup in a 2 hour period.

Also, I think any metabolic issues, how long you've carried extra weight, etc. all play into it. I am 6 feet tall with exceptionally large bone structure, have had a large number of metabolic issues and have been very heavy my entire life, so you may well have faster, more dramatic results than I.

I thought I responded to this, but guess I didn't. How are you doing this far? My surgery date is for next month.
