Question re: immune system after surgery
I'm finding I get many fewer colds and bugs. I think it's all the vitamins.

It's about the same for me, but I got few coughs and colds pre-DS. I also got on the full Vitalady program, so I'm sure that helped normalize things for me.

Hi,
Definitely not an issue for me. This was my first winter and I didn't have anything.
That doesn't mean anything - everyone is different. Are you coming up on a 3 month checkup?
That might help determine if its just a coincidence or you happen to be low on something.
I do kind of wonder why people don't catch more bugs right after surgery. It seems logical that your
system would be stressed like for any other major surgery.
Feel better,

Thanks Pete! I caught something about a week after surgery. My toddler caught something at daycare and I caught it from him. I have been around a fair number of sick people at work and with my son in daycare, there are plenty of opportunities to become ill. It will be good timing to see what my tests say later this month. Thanks! :)
Actually my immune system is best its ever been as a pre-op, which I attribute to my vitamins. Vitamin D plays a big role in immune systems. I take 50,000 iu/day. It drops really fast if you're not getting enough.
