Kinda Weird Hemorrhoid Relief Discovery

So, I get hemorrhoids really bad especially around my period. They are extremely painful but I have no insurance to get them removed so I am stuck with other methods. One is Proctofoam, which BTW is wonderful...unless you have to wait three days for it to be ordered. lol. So today was an extremely painful day for me. I could barely work. I was in tears from the pain. I called Walmart and they said my Proctofoam would not be in until tomorrow. I CAN NOT DO THIS ONE MORE DAY!! I called every pharmacy in town to see if any one had it in stock but nobody does. =( So I am thinking...WTH can I do. Prep H does not work. Nothing works but Proctofoam. Then I remembered that I have sunburn cream at home that consists of lidocaine, Aloe and Menthol. I am like WTH I am going to use it. So I did and OMG....INSTANT RELIEF! Cooling, INSTANT BEAUTIFUL RELIEF! I do not care if this crap poisons me I am using it if only to be able to breath without pain. So far I do not see anything telling me I cannot apply it to my bottom . This crap relieved the pain faster than Proctofoam. I know the Proctofoam will reduce the swelling but I need the pain relief. I am using this stuff from now on. I may mix me some colloidal Silver in it or something. I just know I can sit right now and type this without crying. *sigh

I can feel your pain through your words even though I do not suffer from Hemorrhoids.  Really good info to know just in case!  So glad you found some relief.

Any chance what you have are thrombosed hemorrhoids? I had one of those once and I was ready to jump in front of a bus. It finally burst on its own, but you can get them lanced.

I had two thrombosed but they actually went away after taking steroids which I did not know could happen. The ones I have right now are not though...yet. These really do hurt to the point where I wanted to jump out of my car several times today and scream bloody murder. I do not have any insurance so getting anything done is too expensive for me. Four hours later and I am still pain free after using this stuff earlier today. 

That is awesome! Who knows I may have to try it!! I got the proctofoam and so far hasnt really helped me much if any. The dr also gave me 5 percent lidocaine, doesnt even make my pain go away. Guess Im off to dr. tomorrow to show them what Ive got goin on back there.(Lol). But this is great to know ,hell i will try anything at this point!! Thanks for the info- Mike!!!

I got this stuff from Walgreens. It is called Walgreens Aloe Vera Pain relieving gel with Menthol.

Something about the menthol just cooled and soothed the hell out of my butt. lol

Yeah, I have to be very careful not to stray from my DS diet. I usually get my hemorrhoids from diarrhea rather than constipation. I had IBS before my DS so I have acidic diarrhea at times. Before it was not a big deal because I only had a BM every two to three days. Now that I have the DS and go daily it wears my butt out and the occasional acidic stool has caused hemorrhoids. It only flairs up about once a month or two for about a week or so. When I start my period it is even worse. Not sure why. Possibly due to the over working stomach muscles. 

Have you considered ditching having periods? I don't have any thanks to the Mirena coil.
