Hi Laurie!!! Yep! I just had to use the soap as well. But mine was 2 individual packets and instruction sheet. And they did ask me if I used it when I checked in-Mike

Yes, I too had to use it. It helps kill germs and bacteria.  Lowers risk of infections.

I didn't have to do that but my friend had a tummy tuck a week before me and her doc made her do it - must be new thing?  Maybe all the docs just aren't "on board" yet?  You're right - there are worse things to have to deal with .... Just funny what pops up as requirements huh?

I had my DS three weeks ago and they had me shower with Dial Anti-bacterial soap before surgery.

They also swab for MRSA now before surgeries. I think it's just extra precautions. I got the two packets and instructions. I got the same instructions before my gall bladder surgery a few months before my RNY.
