Finally home from d/s surgery!

Yes Laurie that's right , I was in 4 days which was my docs original estimation. My hospital ,nurses and surgeon all checked with me to make sure I was ready to go home, so they definitely didn't rush me. I was ready to be home with my family and followed all their orders, so I think that was as fast as my surgeon felt comfortable. I didn't have any complications.My surgeon did say surgery took him a little over 5 hours because I'm such a big guy. I'm very happy! He did a great job!!!

I wa going to tell you Laurie that much of first two days, I was very very tired and slept most of my hospital time away. I kept my tv on all 3 days and couldnt tell you what was on it. People visiting me was nice but made me even more tired...

Laurie this is the tricky question I wish I had the answer to. My pain seems to have gotten a little worse last day or so after being home. Its not terrible but get really sore at times. My energy levels arent to good either. I get really tired after being up 5 or 6 hours then wake up last 2 nights at 330 am. Im gonna guess it will prob take me 3 more full weeks to return to work. But I will re-post when my energy and pain gets better.Who knows in 2 more weeks I may feel much better, Its hard to gauge it at this point.

Congrats on your surgery!!!  I'm three weeks out as of tomorrow...  It's quite the journey! Good luck, I'm sure you'll do great!

Yep thats right!!!! April 19th I will go on to mushy foods,only full liquids until then......its not much fun, but then again I have no appetite anyway!!!
