Hair Loss
I had surgery Oct/2014 and have lost just shy of 70 lbs. I am also losing hair like crazy!!!! My doctor just says more protein. Is there anything else I should be looking at? Vitamin deficiencies? Help!

Do you mean you had surgery October of 2013? I second the excellent response already posted. Spot on. You are not getting enough protein, however much you're eating isn't enough. Your body takes what it needs first for vital functions, growing hair isn't vital. Are you drinking shakes in the morning and again at night? Those are the two best times to absorb shake protein. Whey isolate is the most bioavailable form, which means it's the best absorbed. If you're getting 90 grams of protein in a day, up it to 120, because for YOU, 90 obviously isn't enough.
Hair regrowth products work temporarily. They also grow hair unpredictably: on your back, face, *****hest AND your head. Better to get a new hair style and await your regrowth. It's cute, wispy, and comes in like a halo around your face first. Just up your protein in the meantime.
And pig skins are NOT protein. Skin is collagen, which is an incomplete protein. Same goes for chicken skin, sadly. But it's still a virtually free food for a DSer, being all fat.
I. am. not. a. doctor.
