Switched Last Monday
I wanted to introduce myself to the group that has been assisting me without knowing for the past few months as I researched surgeries, chose and re-chose a surgeon, and prepared myself for my DS journey. So thank you all for sharing information on this site recently and in the past. My hubby does think I became addicted to the site without even posting. I guess that does sound crazy.
Well I am now one week post op. My lap DS went well and included a small hernia repair. I allowed myself to stay in the hospital longer so I could be pampered some before having to do it solo at home. My hubby and sons mean well...bless their hearts...it is just not the same service as the hospital. So I was in the hospital 4 nights. I went home on Friday.
I think I am most surprised with how tired I am. It is okay. I rest in between sips and walking. I had a couple days of nausea but it stopped when I stopped using the prescription pain med. My pain is tolerable, but present. Sleeping has been okay too. I was prepared to sleep in the chair, but have found sleeping in my bed not to be a problem.
Thank you again for the help so far. I am sure I will have questions moving forward.
~Tina
Welcome! :)
Sounds like things are going well.
