Just not into it...

Most of you know that my surgery got canceled last month the day before my scheduled surgery date.I was so enthusiastic about the surgery and I done everything I was supposed to. My surgery is this Thursday and my heart is not in the liquid diet. I just started yesterday and I do not have the will power fight. My feelings is that I just want to get it over with. I also have the fear it's going to happen again and I know that is why I so unenthusiastic about the whole situation. But somehow I have to gather the strength to continue with this last week of torture. Any suggestions on how to move forward?
Just think every day you continue you are one day closer to being healthier and thinner! You can do it! If you can do this you will have a jump start to the weight loss.... Good luck hun!!

I try to remember what I'm doing this for but I hope I can find the will to keep going.

I feel less focused and determined this time. Especially with the fear that it will get canceled again after all my hard work.

My surgery was canceled last month because my insurance somehow got canceled at the first of dec, and i did everything to get it reinstated but I submitted marriage license which showed my new last name. All of these things left the insurance company in a frenzy so to get all my information in sync I had to wait until jean for everything to go back to normal. The good news was that my authorization is good until jan. 24 so they were able to reschedule me with no problem. I have had to fight my insurance company every step of the way and I'm pretty sure I will prevail. I was just reading you post and it is the best if you fight for your surgery because I had to fight my company for a consult with a DS doctor. They wanted me to consult with any bariatric surgeon and I refused and my dr., dr. Crookes was not accepting new patients but after many, many phone calls he gave in and started to see new patients on a part time basis. If I can fight for something that I want, so can you. This website has offered me great support and it is my time to pay it forward. Lara offers great advice on dealing with insurance companies so pay close attention because she can help you achieve your goal of receiving the DS surgery. If you have any other questions, comments, or concerns feel free to pm me and I will be more than happy to help you the best way I can.

My surgery was moved and I ended up on the liquid diet for my RNY for 22 days. I survived, had a great jump on my loss (151 lbs so far!) and frankly, was glad to have the liquid diet to 'reset' my brain a bit.
Was the surgery canceled due to something with your surgeon/hospital or a health issue or??? Remind yourself that whatever the situation, it is likely not going to present itself again and that you are days away from the rest of your life in a journey to health and a trim physique!
