Dr. Ranjan Sudan

Have anyone had the DS by him and how would you rate him? I am having the lapband removed on the 30th by my original surgeon Dr. Halmi, but when I mentioned the DS to one of his other surgeons they completely downed it but of course they don't perform it there so I am forced to look elsewhere. I went to Dr. Elariny office months ago, but the prices being quoted were just to high for me when they hadn't even called the insurance company to see what they would cover. I thought that was a bit strange but anywho decided I had to look elsewhere. Well I was looking into Dr. Sudan because if I have the surgery there I can stay in NC for a month since that is where majority of my family are and they would be a good support system for me.

I've heard really good things about Dr Sudan over the years. He's a good one.

I hope you'll consider joining us a Dr Elariny's support group after. They don't require you to be a Dr Elariny patient at all. Good dietitian with us DSrs leading the pack at support group.

Hi Major Mom I actually called Dr. Elariny's office today and spoke with Alex and she has convinced me to come back in and see them after I have the band removed since that part of the process will be done. She said they will work with me I hope that turns out to be a good thing because I really had my heart set on Dr. Elariny. If that doesn't work out I will just see what happens with Dr. Sudan and join your group since it is so close to home and this surgery will be new to me and probably my doctors. Thanks for your response.

Dr. Sudan did the DS on me in July.  I absolutely strongly recommend him.

Dr. Sudan is very good and highly recommended. He performed my DS in June 2013 and I have nothing but good things to say.

Sudan did my DS.  He is great!  Why don't you have your lap band removed and DS performed at the same time?   Why put your body through 2 surgeries?  Many, many people have both done at the same time. Why not have Sudan do both?

I also had surgery with Dr. Sudan in 2011. I was VSG to DS revision. I can't say enough good things about him. He is a very soft spoken man but is quite brilliant and very humble. I was a high risk case and did have really bad complications not Dr. Sudan's fault. I developed infectious necrotizing pancreatitis and Dr. Sudan literally saved my life. Many docs I have spoken to since say he must be amazing to have gotten me through that and live to tell the tale. I have met Dr. Elariny also and believe he is awesome as well. You would not go wrong with either one. Good Luck!
