I'm doing really terrible on protein and I hate the stuff I'm using right now. I need suggestions on what's working for others and where to find it! Thanx for any help

Syntrax Nectar. Check out Vitalady for samples and buy from if you can, she's one of us. Or, VitaminShoppe. My favorites are the vanilla for protein coffee and chocolate or strawberry mouse for shakes. Some folks like the fruity flavored Nectars. Fuzzy navel is popular.

Yep, put it in a cup of coffee.  I just make instant, add some heavy cream, a little extra sweetener (I've been using stevia for protein coffee as there are so many flavors the only thing I notice is its sweetness) and the really important ingredient for me is CINNAMON!!  It was MajorMom's suggestion and I can't believe that it didn't cross my mind!! kiss

I hated the pre-flavored/pre-sweetened stuff, they were either gross going down or gave me a tummy ache, or both. A lot of people like the Syntrax Nectars, I found them absolutley revolting post-op. Other brands and flavors tasted okay, but then caused me major nausea. I've had good luck with NOW Brand unflavored whey protein isolate. It's a really high quality protein and is easy on my stomach. I use it in protein coffee and sweeten and flavor to my liking, or fruit smoothies, or baking. It is truly versatile. You can find it on amazon and get a small tub to try it out before diving into the big tubs. I would recommend getting sample packs first, of anything.

Optimum Nutrition 100% whey and syntrax nectar. I did a mix of ON chocolate and syntrax nectar today and it was great. I've also had samples of the Unjury powder and they were pretty good. ON from amazon and syntrax from vitalady.

I use ISO Sensation 93, and I buy it from a body building site because they have the cheapest prices on it.  I use the choco fudge flavor and I can drink it 3 times a day and never hate it.

I've bought the samples, and I've tried so many different brands.  You just have to buy a small tub/bag and check out the taste.

I've never found a vanilla that I like either.  When I buy something, and it doesn't taste right to me, I mix it with other stuff.  I never toss out a protein powder.  I will use it in yogurt, in smoothies, cottage cheese, in what ever.  Or mix it with another powder to change the taste/texture.  Sugar free chocolate, butterscotch, and strawberry ice cream toppings can mask a lot of these powders also.

I hated all protein drinks for quite some time.  I found my answer in ricotta cheese.  A 1/4 cup holds 7g, and you can sweeten it up or savor it down...your choice.

Excellent idea.  Ricotta cheese can be doctored to taste like anything and it has fat in it.

I use eggs for the same reason.  One cup of large, raw eggs (5 eggs) is 30 gms of great protein.  I make eggnog, custards, puddings, add to soups, scrambles - you name it.  I try to get in 60 gms of eggs a day as a goal.  Eggs are very versatile, you can go sweet or savory, and cheaper than the powders.
