My dog Zoie.............

I have never been one to exercise, walk, etc.. .I have tried and might of done so for a SHORT period of time, always stopping. 7 months ago I adopted and rescued a beautiful Pit bull dog that was on Death Row in the shelter. I was not sure if I did the right thing at the time.............

let me just say, this dog has SAVED, CHANGED, and LIFTED MY LIFE beyond words...........

She is my love, my love, my love! My baby, my friend. I LOVE WALKING HER as it brings HER SO MUCH JOY and in return has brought me joy! Also, let me just say that since walking with her and my little issue with my tummy that is now resolved, I have dropped 33 lbs in the last 4 months. It is nothing short of a miracle that she is my inspiration to walk and do something VERY GOOD for me because I love her so much! She is kind, never bites or snaps at ANYONE and the most loving, kind dog one could want to have. Thought I would share my Zoie story.

Your post made me so happy and tear up a little. We also have a rescue Pit Bull and she is the most the gentle and kind hearted creature. Her best friends are our kids, our cat and my sweet Siberian who I use as my profile picture (he died a couple years ago). It's hard to see a breed get so stereotyped/pigeon holed, but if people would do a little research, they'd quickly find out that the breed was often referred to as "The Nanny Dog" and was once a prized breed among the wealthier families about a century ago. There are so many mean people in the world that have been so cruel to this and other breeds. I'm so glad that Zoie came into your life and is giving you so much unconditional love. It makes my heart sing!

I have had 3 pit bull mixed dogs and they were wonderful.  The one still living is such a wuss!  If he sees a bug in the yard he runs for cover.  Some kind of mean hugh?  They are kind of like kids, if you raise them badly they will grow up badly.  Just my opinion.
