Healing time on the inside?

I'm still waiting to have my DS, hubby will be able to get his insurance in Feb of next  yr. In the mean time I was wondering how long it takes for your insides to heal, etc. your new stomach and your new rearranged intestines? I know physically it can take time to feel better but on the inside how long does it take to heal?

I would guess 6 - 8 weeks but that's a great question for your surgeon. Let us know. : )

The intestines and the stomach heal very quickly.  The skin and muscles, not nearly as fast.  Probably about 8 weeks till it's all healed up.

I agree, smack 6 to 8 weeks before i felt completely normal (although i became functional far before that time frame).

Thanks guys I often wondered about this. I will def. ask my surgeon about this also.  I can't wait to get my DS done. I'm excited and nervous even though I haven't done anything yet to start it. LOL!! I just want a normal body NOW!!

I know it was about 6 weeks before I started feeling better.  I was very listless before then.
