Hi everyone! I am fairly new on hear but have been reading and doing lots of research. I just found out that my revision (from a VBG)to a DS has been approved with Dr Keshishian in CA! Surgery date will be confirmed in a few days but is looking like about the 2nd week in Dec!! I will be a long-distance TRAVEL patient (from Ohio to CA) so I need to do lots of preparing! I am now having a million questions running thru my head and am trying to think clearly about PREPARATION for the biggest and most serious surgery of my life!! WHERE DO I BEGIN??? What are the most important STEPS next??? 5-6 weeks are gonna fly by before I know it!! H-E-L-P!!!

You really don't need much.  Make a list then leave half of it at home!

Went to Spain for my H's surgery for three weeks.  I packed all my old underwear and t-shirts.  After I wore them, I threw them away.  No laundry and less stuff to pack.  More room to bring stuff home!  If you are going to be alone, make sure the hotel room is stocked for when you get out of the hospital.  You probably won't feel like going out for supplies.

Thanks PattyL! My husband will be with me. So what do you mean by "make sure the hotel room is stocked for when you get out of the hospital"?? Like what kinds of things?? Thanks for your help!
