Back at hospital/pyloric valve question

After waking up this morning and having my first sip of water come right back up I decided it's time to call Dr. I'm in Houston so driving to Denton took a little time and I worried the whole way here. My Dr felt it was a stricture and they admitted me to do the scope ASAP . Once he got in there he said the opening was fine but the pyloric valve opening seemed too tight. Has anyone had this? He opened it with a balloon and also went over the area at the top. I didn't get to talk long, plus I was still a little groggy so I'll see him tomorrow. I hope this will solve my issues with the throwing up everything including water and stop the foamies I get even first thing in the am. I'm a revision from RNY to ds and had all sorts of issues, hoping this is a quick stay!

Could it just be swelling from the surgery?!

It sounds like your pyloric valve may have contracted a little from years of disuse with your RNY. Hopefully it will work better with the dilation and with it being back in use now.

Well so far today water and tea have done well. Had a few bites of cream soup at lunch and it seems ok. I hope this will help me keep foods down and I can start trying food! May was my revision so it's been awhile, not to mention having no energy. I'm still in hospital, my potassium was low and I was dehydrated. Some nausea but with what I've been living with I can handle it. Going to ask for zophran when I leave.
