The day has come. Hair falling out
I'm right there with ya! I had my surgery in March so mine has been falling out for the last month or so . I have thin fine hair to begin with but having my BC surgery just before my WLS surgery made things doubly bad! I have very little hair on top so am thinking of wearing a wig for a while. My cousin who has a thyroid problem has very thin hair so she wears a wig- her motto is this- I would rather look like a race horse than an old nag- so I guess for me I might have to get the wig and keep from looking like that old nag!~
I'm about 3 1/2 months out and mine is starting to fall out too--however not as much as the first surgery! Still, it's scary and I knew it was bound to happen.
It lasted about three months before so I'm expecting that again. Luckily I have thick hair and get it thinned when cutting it so not too bad. At least not yet :).
Hi sweetie, thankfully I didn't have an issue with thinning or losing hair, and I hope I won't this time. What I wanted to tell you is, even though I have a lot of hair, I love to wear wigs and weaves! Hair for me is an accessory..and should be used for fun! Play around with some different looks, and try to make it fun! There's a local place I go to, and I try on different ones, and my son helps to choose good one for me. Good luck with the options you choose to help with hair loss..I know especially as women..our hair has a lot to do with self esteem and any bad hair day can seem to knock us off of our game try to stay positive. I'm sending positive thoughts your way!
Yes, when I was younger I used to "play" with the hair peices and loved them. I agree, "they are great! The one thing that I find that is hard to camaflauge is the "bang area". I know they have "fake bangs" now but Im afraid it will look fake. I guess If it gets that bad, "thin" I will try it. Thanks for all your enougragement, your sweet....

Oh my, I'm 6 weeks post-op. Is that going to happen to me in another 6 weeks? I have been taking biotin, plus eating my protein. Is this still an inevitable occurance?
