32 Vitamins a day?
Thanks. I have not seen that site before.
Geez, I'm going to miss veggies. I'm not a huge meat lover to start with, but I love vegetables even more than fruit. I guess that will have to change.
Veggies are OK just so long as you've had your protein first. You want to avoid carbs like peas, corn and potatoes though. Most other veggies should be OK.

Very few follow their surgeons recommendation without regretting it. They are cutters. The do not get any nutritional training in med school. Do yourself a favor now and accept that you will need to get advice from those who are living the DS. That is not going to be your surgeon. I take close to 40 pills a day. Doesn't bother me at all. It is just a part of my day. I get my labs done every 6 months and adjust as needed. You will be adjusting for life. That is part of the deal. I understand it sounds daunting. It IS a lot of pills to take. It becomes part of the daily routine and is a small price to pay to have your health back.

You either need to buy the pre-packaged ones from Vitalady or put them yourself into a pill dispenser (I have an Anabox pack from Amazon.co.uk like the one pictured below).
I used to do this once every couple of weeks, but when DH pointed out I was spending an hour doing this I decided to go back onto the pre-packaged vites as I take everything in the Vitalady bundles plus extra calcium.

The Vitalady pre-packaged vites come in 4 separate strips. I put 5 days worth in my handbag on a Sunday and I'm set for the week. You can order them at the top left of screen here https://vitalady.com/vitanews/pre-packaged-regimens/

Oh goodness!
i admit I know nothing about DS, but as an RNY'er I don't take ANYTHING close to 32 vitamins a day. My labs continue to be excellent, but maybe there is a big, and I mean BIG DIFFERENCE between what DS'ers have to take in comparison to RNY'ers.
good luck to you.
Actually the regimen for the RNY from Vitalady is very similar, esp for Distal RNY. She is, after all, a distal RNY'er herself and I have seen her take as many or more than I do.
Here is her lists: (Distal RNY & DS) http://www.gblcreations.com/Resources/Gina/ProgramDRNY_ERNY_ BPDDS3-2010.pdf
The Distal/DS list has 31 pills on it.
Proximal RNY: http://www.gblcreations.com/Resources/Gina/ProgramPRNY2-2010.pdf
There are 33 pills on the proximal list which is TWO more than the DS.
Labs being excellent? Are you near the top of each range (except B6 as too much B6 is toxic) in all your labs? Do you follow trends with the hard copy of your labs? http://www.gblcreations.com/Resources/Gina/VitaLadysLabsandT argets_11-2009.doc
I do not take extra Vit A, E, or any of the B's except what is in my three multi's. I am near the top range of all of them. I do have to supplement extra D & K.
