32 Vitamins a day?

Hi guys been a few years since I posted. I was approved a few years ago but never went through with the DS. Years and not loosing any weight I was just approved again (i was denied until I did a 6 month weight loss program...but i appealed it and got sleep apnea and PCOS doc letters...and won my approval so I did not have to do the 6 month program).

That being said last week they gave me a date of 8/20!! Which is great news...but now I am freaking out a bit.

My Surgery is scheduled with Dr. Roslin in NYC...he has a great reputation for the DS..and I am confident in him... what really has me worried is Vitalady's regime of 32 viatmins a day?! Dr. Roslin's office has it at like 7-10.... so how many people are really taking 32 pills a day? It seems so  extreeme.

I am a newbie at three weeks out.  I take 5 vitamins/supplements.

I know that at three weeks out I wasn't taking many yet.  I just couldn't.  I was three months out before I worked up to the entire regimen.  I sincerely hope that you have a plan to stay healthy.  I can garantee that 5 a day will get you dead.  The recommended dose of calcium citrate alone would be 8 pills a day.  Then you need dry A, dry E, dry K, Dry D3, multi, zinc, b12......

Thanks for the info.  I am so confused about this myself.  When I went to my two week post op the nutritionist said I should take a mv, calcium citrate 1500 (that is 3 of the 500 chews), a B complex and a dry Vitamin D.  These recommendations were based off my PRE OP labs.  They will draw my labs again at 6 weeks and tell me if I need to adjust.  Is this what you went through?

Get on the Vitalady program rather than waiting for a deficiency - it's a lot harder to recover from a deficiency than it is to maintain good levels.

I am wondering about these vitamins too.  Why do you take three a day?

Dr. Roslin did my surgery almost 2 years ago and he's amazing.  Wishing you all the best.  I take Vitalady's vitamin schedule and yes its extreme but my labs are fantastic.
