Hi, how do you know how much calories you absorded?

I use 'DS math', which is an estimate & calculates absorbed calories as follows:
60% of my protein calories
20% of my fat calories
60% of complex carb calories
100% of sugar calories.
I modify mine a little bit because my common channel is a little longer (150 cm), so I probably absorb more fat. Also, after tracking my complex vs. simple carbs for a while....I just use 75% for all net carbs.

Thank you for explaining this.

To clarify the amount of protein absorbed  is 60%, 60% of complex carb, 100% of sugar and 20% of fat depending on the length of your common channel.

Is there a conversion chart or calculator one can use to figure out DS Math? I If not where can I get the formula, or manual explaining DS Math.

Thank you very much

I use an excel spreadsheet to calculate my absorbed calories.  As for info on 'DS Math' here is the link from DSFacts.com.

I didn't know they were Canadian either. These folks sounded a bit like folks from Minnesota but they said "eh" at the end of their sentences more often.

Ut oh! It's the banana's fault. Carbs always want more and more friends to come to the party.
