How much vitamin K do I need?

I'm having brushing problems again. How much vitamin K do I need to prevent bruising? I have just switched from Centrum tabs to Centrum chewables, which has 10 mg K. The dosage on the latter says not to exceed dose of 1 per day. I sense I may need more.(I also take chewable B , chelated cal & mag, 800 mg B2, COQ10, Butterbur, Pycgenol -anti oxidant- and misc others per neurologist) . Any knowledge out there re: dosage of K for bruising ?

Unless you have your labs done there is no way of knowing how much. It could be a little as a 100mcg or as much as what I take and that is 15mg per day.

Most multies don't have any mg  but use mcg, which is a huge difference, 1,000mcg = 1mg.

Thanks. It is 10 mcg, not mg. I've ordered 90 mcg caps and will start there. I notice it is a fat soluble vitamin. I wonder if I should break it open?

Many bariatric patients start with 1,000 mcg of vitamin K1 and then tweak depending on their labs. You want your labs to be near top of the range listed from the lab. I took 1,000 mcg for about 5 years and got my levels up and a bit over--now I take it 3 days a week.

I take 100mcg/day.  Tiny white pill.  My multis have a little too.
