DS weight gain

Hello Tammy,

I have not been on the site for a while either.  I dropped by ready to post an identical message.  I have gained 20 lbs back sliding.  Perhaps we can help each other.

I have decided to go the very low carb method, which I am sure will include a side of crabby for my family.  Hey I love them when they are crabby.  :)  I will also dust off my gym membership, grab my daughter and get moving, moving moving.

Perhaps we can buddy up and help each other.  Feel free to send me a personal message if you are interested.

I may be a bit ambicous, but I want to see the scale tell me that I have lost my first 5lb in the next 10 days.  To tell you the truth, I would would be giddy to see 3 lbs gone in 10 days.

Dusty

A 10-20% average regain of ewl is to be expected over the years is quite normal, so don't be alarmed.  You're only at 23% ewl gain, and I consider that to be quite normal.  Don't beat yourself up - but you can definitely work yourself back down some.  Up your protein, and keep veggies and eliminate all else for a while (even fruit).

I encourage you to embrace fats and proteins for the next tiny little 2 week period.  I encourage you to stay positive and think of it as like a 2 week vacation where you get to eat like a king. bacon, cheese, chicken wings with ranch dressing, steak, mayo, eggs, ham, butter, etc.  I would love to hear your weight at the end of the 2 weeks. :)

Just have to add that I had been at the same weight for the last year and 10 days ago I started a gluten-free diet in prep for an upcoming medical procedure. I have lost 5 lbs in the last week! And that makes it 5 lbs past my lowest low since the DS. I am eating a lot and not restricting anything else. Just cutting out the wheat has been huge! I never guessed.

I gained 12-13 lbs with a relationship breakup.  I was only able to take off about 4 lbs before I had my upper body lift.  Since Jan, I'm down about 11 lbs.  PS jump started my metabolism - I'm not complaining.  But, I was doing mostly protein after my PS for healing.

so, I've been going a little crazy!  I had gotten approval in march for tummy tuck, they said it would be 12-16 months, well surprise!!! They called me last Thursday, so I've been back to my ds diet, keeping my carbs most days under 25 and exercising like a mad woman!  I told them that I was 175 ish, cause that's what I had been for years, but took a nasty depressing job, that led to gaining 25 pounds!,,  sooooooo I've lost 10 pounds since then, is it wrong to wish more? I know, it totally is!  I still have until October   15th, so I am really shooting for 180, so that I don't look like a complete idiot!  I hate after all the weight loss I still feel like lying about the pounds!

Wish me luck, any encouragement, or food ideas completely welcome!  I wish I could eat eggs, but they hit my gagger! I say the only good egg is baked in a cake, and we know how good that is for me! ;)   Tammy
