Sore Calves
So is it normal for my calves to be sore? Not sure if it is related in anyway. 8 days post op. They sort of feel on the verge of a Charlie Horse and I will die If I get one right now. I've been walking... not a ton but trying to keep moving. I worked all day today and made a point to walk during my lunch. My legs are just plain restless.

I did go back... I think I made too long of a day for myself yesterday because I'm beat right now. I got up at 6am worked 8-4:30. Went to surgical support group 5-6. Waited up for my husband who didn't get off wor****il 10:30 and fed him then finally headed to bed at 11pm. I yawned allllllllll day at work. I told him I better not be up past 9 tonight.

I found it is very easy to get low on potassium. Low potassium can cause soreness and cramps. I now have to take prescription strenth pottassium.Try seeing what high potassium food you can tolerate. Half a banana, some tomato soup? It was a go to food early out with melted cheese in it and topped with sour cream.
I don't remember who, might have been Val, but someone told me about switching to a salt substitute because it is potassium. I use Lo Salt, which is 66% Potassium. It's an easy way to get the Potassium in, and cheap.
I did notice that I have been getting cramps in my toes and fingers lately. Was wondering what mineral it might be. So I'm taking extra of them all for a week to see if that stops it. Will go back to old levels after the week.
Roger that! Morton's Lite Salt and fresh tomatoes with Dukes mayo on top. ; )

Electrolytes out of whack? Add more potassium and magnesium citrate. Potassium from fresh tomatoes not bananas or orange juice. Was B12 ok on your labs?
