Bathroom issues?

I've been reading a lot about "bathroom issues". Do they last forever? I can do anything for a while even a long while. But I don't know if I can commit to wearing a diaper for the rest of my life. Thoughts?

Who wears diapers? LOL. Seriously, though, I am less than 2 months out and am already struggling with constipation. But everyone is different. I really don't think you should worry about having to wear a diaper the rest of your life. I've not even considered wearing a diaper, even when things were loose, and had zero accidents.

I was mostly kidding about the diapers. I'm relieved to know you've had zero accidents though. I have a labor intensive job and the bathroom issues worry me. Thanks for your response

Just over a year out hear and no accidents to date.  I think you'll find that most DSers will say that they control things pretty well via diet.

I do go A LOT.  That's just me though I've always had a very active bowel.  The only "bathroom issues" I have are toxic stink!  Gas and big potty are pretty gnarly and I have been known to clear a public bathroom no matter how much spray I use.  Honestly, I'll live with a little extra stink with the huge weight loss I've had.

I was going about 4 times in the morning and couple times at night but once I increased my iron and calcium I am down to about twice a day. I have never had an accident. I have come close but nada. It can be controlled with food and balancing your vitamins.

I have had a couple accidents.  But I am definitely not the norm.

I do not get constipated from calcium, and iron (which I take a lot of) gives me diarrhea.  Most people get constipated from pain meds - I get diarrhea.

I also ate a lot of roasted veggies and salads before I had surgery - because I was constantly fighting the weight battle.  So over the years, I have developed a real like/need for a lot of veggies.  I have a hard time remembering that 1 cup max of salad, or a cooked veggie as a side, is all I can have.  I also love fruit.  You can see where this has taken me… the accidents are my own making.

But I never give it a second thought.  I used to be diabetic and had to take Metformin to lower my blood sugar.  Metform gave me diarrhea out of the blue, and I had accidents with that also.  I tested my fasting blood sugar this morning and it was 97 – normal.  No more diabetes, no more Metform or other drugs for it.

In 10 years I have yet to wear a diaper...  Promise.  Don't let them scare you with the poop stories.

Hi,

We all in the beginning worry about bathroom issues, Our body is getting used to the new "us" so you do go frequently in the beginning.  I am 2 1/2 years out and I have not had 1 accident.. BUT that being said, depending on what you eat you will go more frequently and have alot of gas, If I eat alot of carbs OMG I have the worst smelliest gas, I can't even stand to be around myself.  And I echo what alot say, Dont trust a fart.. The further along you get, you can kinda tell if a fart is just a fart or a shart...

Good Luck and dont worry...
