I read your blog and enjoyed your picture "story."  What a creative way to tell your story.  I will be eagerly awaiting the next chapter in your picture book!

Hi SHIFT :)

Good luck! Think positive and do what the doctor says- get up and walk even if hurts. Blood clots happen to patients sometimes, although not often and most of the time they can be treated. Believe in your body, that it can get you through this.

You're doing great with your pre-op weight loss!  Congrats!

I am very excited for you! You can do this!!

I hope everything went well. Have a quick recovery.

By the way I was on blood thinner shots for 30 days after the surgery - self administered - Lovaprol? something like that. I think it was an overabundance of caution.

Congrats, you are now one day post-op!  You are probably realizing that your worries and fears were nothing and your biggest goal now is to walk, rest, walk and then walk.  I'm exactly two weeks post-op and feel wonderful.  I took a total of three weeks off, and am glad I did.   I had no pain from surgery, and feel great, but do get tired after walking and doing any activity.  I'm glad I did.  Be ready for a weight gain while you are in the hospital - that's from the fluids they are pumping into you.  I gained 9 lbs, but lost it within a few days after I got home.  You are going to do great!  Best of luck.
