I was only weight once a week up until about three weeks ago... NOW IM GOING NUTS OVER THE FLUCTUATIONS!!! So ive decided to move the scale somewhere inconvenient. Now its harder to me to jump on it after I poo and before I shower (routine) Its in my guest bathroom. Weighing would involve clothing (since I have a roomate) and going to the other room... Not gonna happen...

Banded on 7/1/09,cool removed on 11/11... Switched on 2/5/13. Ticker includes 23lbs lost on preop diet...

I weigh every day or other day but I do not let it get me down when nothing changes or it fluctuates. IN the end it always goes down then I am excited. That lowest weight is always the one I go by. I know if it fluctuates up it is not real fat...I still go by the last lowest weight and walk away.

Weigh after your morning poos are done and naked. =) then not again for that day.

I use common sense. There is no way in hell I could possibly gain any real weight eating like I do. It is impossible. Knowing this...when the weight does go up I know it is usually water weight from eating something salty, needing to drink more, PMS or I need to take a bigger poop. Usually I take a bigger poop and it drops back down.

Just chill. Either learn to look at it this way or get rid of the scale or go talk to a professional. Everything will be okies =)

I can relate to this situation I ended up asking my husband to hide it and made a day every week that I was allowed to check my weight and when I freaked out I would reflect honestly about my activity level and eating and if that was on par I found comfort in when your not losing pounds your losing inches. That really helped also change your obsession and outlet it into something that benefits you emotionally or physically like working out or painting or diet or reading finding a new outlet is crucial in channeli g that obsessive energy learn something new or perfect something that gives you purpose. I hope this helps it helps me refocus and channel all that energy Into something that you won't stake your self worth on.

Please...step away from the scale, and learn to trust your DS.

I used to do the same thing as a pre-op. and I purposely got rid of the bathroom scale at my house when I went in to get my DS, so I wouldn't be constantly on it.

The only places I weighed were at the doctor's and at the health club.  I limited myself to every two weeks there.

I guarantee you will frustrate yourself, because you'll feel you're not losing, because you're watching tiny changes, which accumulate to the big losses in short amounts of time that you see posted here
