Argh!!  My skin is terrible - I'm plagued with lots of barely visible tiny bumps.  It's been like this for about a week, but it's really getting to me.  It's the zinc I know it is!! I rang my surgeon's PA this morning and begged for a copper test as my skin loves its zinc.  I'll find out next Thursday if I'm allowed it - blood draw is a week Friday.

Wasn't your zinc high on your last labs? How could reducing the dose when your labs were high be causing this? I guess you should go back to the dose you were taking as soon as you can. You're a medical mystery.  ; )

Well, I am off to my Dr. appointment...6-month check-up....actually I'm just over 7 months now.  I think he'll be pleased with my 75# loss.  Which reminds me, I need to update my tracker again!

Called on my labs. Won't get the reports for a few days. Now bad. Ferritin is down to 80 (140 6mo ago). Hemaglobin fine but serum iron "very low". The labs have been referred on to the hematologist. I suspect no recommendations at ts time.

E: work, took a 15 min walk at lunch. (rarely get a real lunch break so took advantage of it)

lol  They had so much fun in the pool last weekend.  

Ugh, I guess they'll wait until you can't keep your eyes open to let you have an infusion. You'd think they'd get the malabsorption thing by now. I bet you never really fully recovered in the iron and blood departments after the plastics. 

It was beautiful here today too. Chilly but sunny this morning at 7:30 when I walked. I sure could have used a jacket.

Bites:

B:Protein shake with 2 strawberries and almond milk

S: celery and pb

L: some salad, and canned chicken

S: nuts, meat and cheese

D: fish and brown rice and cauliflower

Vites: all in except bedtime

Excercites: nothing, stayed home all day and did nothing

 

Nov. 14/2005 I have reached the 10 year mark and I am very glad I had this surgery and can live a normal life.
