Dr. Daryl Stewart
As a patient of Dr. Stewart's I can truly say our world was rocked yesterday with his passing. Dr. Stewart gave me my life back November 16th, 2009. With God guiding his hands, he skillfully performed my DS . Dr. Stewart was an awesome man. He cared about his patients, listened & answered our questions. The WL community has loss a great man.

I agree, I am so saddened by his passing. I know there are many people who get the DS done by him. I found him looking for a good DS doctor for my mother. I had my sleeve done with him. I knew if he was the best at the most difficult WLS, he the lesser ones would be a breeze for him. I was right! I couldn't be happier.
As I said on the Sleeve forum, I will never forget his sweet little grin. He had a very caring ora about him. I'm just heart broken about this. I didn't get to see him after surgery.
I have met Dr. Ayoola. He is a very nice man and has been a general surgeon for sometime. I believe he has been working with Dr. Stewart for about the last 9 months. He has assisted on a lot of the surgeries. I know my niece had the DS about 6 weeks ago and Dr. Ayoola assisted. I would definitely speak with Dr. Ayoola. After all if Dr. Stewart brought Dr. Ayoola into his practice and has been teaching him his skills.

I am one of his "Oklahoma patients" and I too am left speechless and heartbroken. Fortunately several of my friends have also have had the privilege of having this brilliant man save and change their lives also. I know I will see him again one day. RIP my angel doc.

I was not one of his patient's but he was gifted as a surgeon and helped so many. For those who might be interested this info was shared in another group today
Here is his Obit... http://www.deberryfuneraldirectors.com/fh/obituaries/obituar y.cfm?o_id=2175478&fh_id=13043 Family is asking in lieu flowers for donations to http://mantomanonline.org/members%5Cxcellence%5Chome.nsf/2/c alendar . I had heard he was a Christian. I think it's awesome the family wants donations to a christian organization.

Revision #2 Dr John Rabkin June 21, 2013; First Revision DS - Dr Maguire 5-18-09; First DS 7-15-2003 Dr Clark Warden = Third time is the charm
How terribly, terribly SAD! I wish I could have met him and didn't know he was born in Kansas, too. He liked to hunt and fish and sounded like someone I could really relate to via the Obit read. His professional reputation speaks for itself. Texas, and frankly the whole world has lost a needed gifted surgeon. So young at 52. :(
Would appreciate knowing a cause and manner of death if anyone is in the know.
Rock
Rock, the cause of death is in this thread.
