New DS Pizza Idea!

I have been eating flax oat and whole wheat pita bread and I love it. Only 4g of carbs. You can fry them in butter and make them crispy. So I think I am going to fry me one up and make it crispy then put some low carb pizza sauce cheese and pepperoni on it, bake it and make me a pizza. It seems like it will be closer to pizza than some of the other ideas I have come up with. I love thin crunchy crust pizza too. I will let you know how it turns out! Should be decent protein and fat and low carb!

I tried a half of one of the pita breads today with Red Pepper Hummus smeared on it. Since I only ate half a piece it was only 2g of carbs. I am in love with this pita bread.

Sounds Good! Is the pita something that is readily available at a major grocery? or a health food place? I have been doing the 3 egg/cheese type crust and can't swing that much cheese some days. Another alternative I have tried is getting the local pizza joint to make me a calzone with whole wheat crust instead of their usual white flour crust.

Sounds tasty!

Have you tried Brok's Pizza?  Just do a search for it here, and I'm sure the recipe will pop up.

Tons more protein in it!

And here's the one that Jenna Lynn put her spin on using Brok's pizza crust recipe. I love this. It has been my staple food here lately. You might like the sauce and topping on your pita crust.
