One Last Thing Before Authorization

I had to provide more information (a weight record) to my insurance (Aetna). They received it on Monday and I'm still waiting for a decision. :( It's killing me.

I was previously told a final decision would be made on the 16th, but now they said they have until the 29th. I've been waiting since the 27th of June.

My clinic's insurance coordinator called today for a status update. I hope that's enough to get the ball rolling.

I'm still waiting. I had a mini-freak out this morning because when I called BC/BS to get a status update, they told me that the surgery was "denied because it's not medically necessary." 

They told me I could call the 800 number for appeals. I tried calling, but the number they gave me was wrong, so I had to call the main customer service number again. The next person I spoke to told me that the document that was sent in on Friday had not been reviewed yet, so not to worry.

That first representative nearly gave me a heart attack!  I guess I should just sit tight and wait for them to call me! Hehe
