Watch for signs of yeast infection - very common - due to IV antibiotics during surgery..

Benadryl.  If it makes you too sleepy, you can try Claritin.

Yes, my stitches itch and its been nine weeks.  Ive had it before with other stitches that I have had.  They say its part of the healing process with the nerves I believe.  Im not taking any loratab or morphine, if your itching all over and taking opiates then yes, thats what it is, but if its just where your stitches are, I dont think so, because stitches that are healing and itchy are really common.  I had that happen on my Breast reduction, gallbladder and hysterectomy scar at over a year out, it can last a long time.  Oh and even more interesting onley one of my port scars itches, Im glad its not all of them.....lol

lol.....I am soooo sorry, I see what you mean now.  No, I do not still have stitches, but where the incisions are, there are scars now, and scars can get itchy when healing......sorry, for the confusion on my part.....
