Two days post op

It has definitely been an interesting few days. I had a rough time last nite. As my abdomen started waking up, the pain kicked in and the pain pump wasn't working. Goodness! Then, I got a fever too.
I'd been re cathed yesterday because I couldn't potty. They said I was becoming dehydrated. I am trying to get the fluids in but it's hard.
They took out the catheter again today and I was finally able to tinkle in the catch cup..
I am sick of sipping in the little cups already. LOL
If I continue to do well, I will be released tomorrow.

Get rid of that pain pump and have them give you an anti-inflammatory and reglan. It will work wonders to help with the pain. The Morphine just made me sick. Toradol (anti-inflammatory) and Reglan made me feel so much better and worked pretty fast. Many people on here have swore by Toradol directly out of surgery. The reason you are hurtins is because your insides are swollen and inflamed. The Toradol will fix the problem instead of masking it.

Monday and yesterday I was given toreador shots. They work great! Now, my doc wants me to do Lortab.
