Yesterday was my revision from Rny to a switch. I am in my hospital bed with my pain pump at my side. I have walked 4 times so far. I have had to be re-cathed because I can't manage to urinate.... That makes me sad.

My surgery took six hours. My stomach hurts like Hell! No appetite yet.

That's my update.

The first day is the WORST!  I was like the walking dead & think I threw-up on one of my 'laps' around the hospital floor!!  It will get better....each & every day from here on!  My surgery was 6+ hours as well...and I was a 'virgin' DSer.

Do not worry about your appetite at this time.....just sip, walk, rest, repeat.

BTW....congratulations!!!  Welcome to the dark side!

Thx for the update....I've been thinking about you, 2ndchance!

Don't be sad about not peeing...it's very common after major abdominal surgery, especially one that took 6 hours!

Hang in....keep walking, drinking....it gets better!
