Okay, so I'm hard headed

One thing is for sure, the DS will not let you skip ahead. I tried something other than liquids and I am suffering. This is the most uncomfortable feeling. I have learned my lesson. Who knew two bites could cause so much pain?

I was eating soft foods the day I left the hospital, but you do need to be mindful of what you're eating.  Stick to the most tenderest of foods first, things that could be smashed with a fork (not that you have to but its a good judgement of tenderness).  , and yes, just a few bites is all it takes for a while, but it gets better.

We always think we know better than our DS... then we are painfully reminded that we are wrong!

I'm 2 years out and I STILL get reminded that my DS is smarter than me!

Be gentle with it!
