Band to DS Revision just approved!

I just got approved for a band to DS revision with Dr. Greenbaum.  Would love to hear from others having same surgery or surgeon about your experience and any tips you may have.

I had my Badband to DS revision a couple of months ago. I am so happy. My throat is almost healed now. I have stopped puking. No more esophageal spams. No more Gerd issues. I have started dropping weight. I can eat without feeling like it is in my throat. I am so glad that foreign device is gone. I hated that damn thing. 8 years of **** with it. 

That is awesome Irish Nurse.  8 yeasr is a long time!  I've had mine 2 years.  How long did it take you to start losing weight after your revision surgery?

Congrats! Dr.G is awesome. I'm a revision from RNY to DS, done just over 7months ago. 91 lbs down.
Tips: be prepared for when u get home from the hospitalto be able to relax, take your pain meds relax more, repeat.

awesome... my band was removed in emergency surgery in 2011 and I didn't get my DS for about a year and a half later. I dont know is that qualifies me as a revision but having the band out was a God-sent!

Congrats.. don't stock up on protein shakes because your tummy might not agree with it. get samples from as many places as you can before you commit.

Yes absolutely, your taste will change. Everything woo be super sweet and intense. It's strange. Not to mention I was lactose intolerant up until now...
