So I'm at my 3 month appt and I lost only 5 lbs in 6 weeks but I gained 9 lbs the last 2 wks. They r saying its water weight. They told me to document my salt intake too. How could this be? I'm so frustrated. The only carbs I get are from yogurt an cottage cheese an milk. All I eat is protein. At night I eat some steamed mix veggies. They said its not what I'm eating. I am exercising too. Supposedly they said my body is playing catch up an afterwhile I will start losing again. Will I? Now I'm in doubt. Plus I have a huge hernia with some pain. UGH

Ugh!  I'm sorry.  :(   Did they think the hernia might be an issue too?  I sure hope things turn around within the next day or so. Keep us posted.

tomorrow i start wearing an abdominal binder during from the time i wake up until i go to sleep. I will have to have surgery on both my hernias in 9 months. but this big one is causing me pain. so if i get worse and cant stand the pain the doc said he would go ahead and operate. but regardless if he does or not in 9 months i have to have surgery to remove my apron and to have hernia surgery for the other one. Im going to try and put up with the pain. i dont want to be cut open twice. i want all 3 done at once.

Oh, don't give up yet. You are so close to your surgery date. Your body is healing and will be able to take care of itself better when you're completely healed.  It sounds like you're doing the right things. I'll be honest, the first 6 months, I was SO impatient with my weight loss. I was not happy and I didn't rejoice in the little weight I did lose. It was gradual, and at 18 months I finally had most of my excess weight gone. Do yourself a favor...find ways to distract yourself from the pain and the weight loss. Do something that totally engulfs your mind and enjoy it. This will help you pass time and help you be patient with your body :) I paint, and I took some college courses. It helped me tremendously! Good luck! Hugs!
